How to add Outmin as a user on Shopify
To give Outmin view-only access to your Shopify store, you'll need to invite us as a staff member with a custom permissions set. It only takes a few minutes.
- Log in to your Shopify admin at admin.shopify.com
- In the left-hand menu, click Settings, then select Users and permissions.
- Click Add staff.
- Enter the following details when prompted:
- First name: Outmin
- Email: Enter your Outmin proxy email (your-company-name@outmin.io)
- Under Permissions, deselect all options and enable only the following:
- Orders — View only
- Reports — View only
- Payments — View only
- Leave all other permissions switched off, then click Send invite.
Your proxy email is a unique email set-up specifically to provide Outmin with remote-access to your online systems & portals. If you don't know what your proxy email is, you can ask your accountant!
Once you've sent the invite, the Outmin team will accept it and get to work. No need to share any passwords — Shopify handles access securely via email invitation.
Note: Staff account limits vary by Shopify plan. If you're on the Basic plan, you may have a limited number of staff accounts available. You can check your current usage under Settings → Users and permissions.
