What is Rex and How Does It Work?

How Outmin's reconciliation assistant requests missing documents and clarifications

Rex (our reconciliation assistant) is how Outmin asks clients for missing documents or clarifications, usually when something shows up in the bank feed without a matching invoice or needs to be categorised.

  • Clients/firms get a notification via the Outmin app or dashboard
  • They just need to upload the missing document or add a quick note 
  • It's simple and essential to keeping their books accurate

What firms need to do:

  • Make sure clients are using the app and responding to Rex
  • If Rex messages are piling up, give clients a nudge - it slows things down and can affect the accuracy of VAT returns and reports
